One of our contributors (Brenda) is currently approaching recommended lawyers in the LA area for a possible Class Action Lawsuit against Global Internet Solutions. To help convince the attorneys that they have a case, the more names and details we have at the initial meetings, the better.
Using the contact form, please send me as many of the following details you are comfortable with (We realise giving out personal information to people you don’t know can be dangerous. As long as we have a some way for the lawyers to contact you in the future.):
This is what we’ve been waiting for…. Lets do it!
Brenda’s also looking for a contact in the LA area as she is in New York. She has friends and family in LA willing to help, but it would be easier if one of us was there too. If you want to help, let me know. BTW on the contact form, there’s a tricky mathematical question to answer to prove you’re human. If you can’t work it out the answer’s 20!
Sorry, but due to Gisol trying to post comments, they are now being moderated. They will appear ASAP.
I have the same story as so many, I was charged $1,798.20 on my capital one visa. I had the charge removed and it seemed like capital one was on my side. Then they let the charge be reinstated.
GISOL will not return my calls. GISOL tried to and did hold my domain name hostage but I got it back. GISOL lied to me about a rebate that I never got.
Dear Sirs;
I would like to join in any class action law suite against Global Internet Solutions, AKA; GISOL. I was coerced into signing up for an additional three years of service for $466.20. They claimed that I agreed to this when I first signed up for their service, however, they refused to show me the terms of service. Others have claimed that GISOL has doctored older papers to suite their purposes then presented them as false proof. Their tactics are strong and heavy handed. That is why I was intimidated into signing their forms for additional service. I am 62, and it doesn’t take a lot to rattle me these days.
I want my money back, and I want these men punished.
Lynn Taylor
same here they are holding 5 domain names hostage but for 1200 bucks i can get em back
bring em to justice
On May 12th 2008, Janine Solanki signed a lengthy contract electronically for what a Gisol representative indicated would be a very advantageous price of under $100 and gave our credit card for this transaction.
The following month the credit card was debited by Gisol for 1798.20.
A dispute was registered to our card company – Visa – and the charge was reversed.
Refus, from Gisol, sent suporting documentation to Visa showing that Janine had agreed to pay the over $1700.
On the bases of this a charge was made against our account once more.
Visa sent us a copy of both contracts to support their decision. It was immediately apparent to us that Gisol had forged Janine’s signature from the first one.
On Sept. 5th 2008, I sent this information to Gary Kaplan, LA County Sheriffs office and to our credit company. I also filed a complaint with the Surrey RCMP.
To date I have not received anything back from LA.
Visa is also stating the their file is closed.
This is quite the scam by GISOL this time. I have hosted with them for almost 4 years now and have always had issues with their services. Their tech support is less than helpful, and their customer care is garbage. They constantly lie about their firm size and ratings. But now, they have hacked one of my many domains http://www.skysfestivals.com, pretending to be a hacker from Saudi Arabia. They hold the domain for ransom and ask you to pay to get the domain cleared of their malicious script. We did not pay the so called hackers. Then GISOL shuts down your account saying that it has been compromised by “hijackers”. At this point, GISOL says that we need to pay another $400 to clean the site out, or pay $898 to create a new account because the old one has been compromised. They do not let you finish the term of your original contract!!
Luckily I have a great tech guy who knows his stuff. He tracked down other sites that GISOL has hacked as well and we will be contacting them to see what GISOL has charged them. We have logs, the actual malicious script and tons of other info in GISOL. If this class action isn’t the way to go, we will be pursuing this ourselves. This is not the first issue we have had with them either.
If your site has been hacked or hijacked, do not pay the ransom, GISOL will shut you down and ask for more money too!!
