I signed up with GISOL in January of 2006. Back then, they still offered web hosting services instead of just scamming people for their money. But their servers kept going down, and when they were up, were very slow. I was constantly on the phone with GISOL support, trying to troubleshoot this or that. I quickly got fed up with it, and decided to move to another company.
That’s when the… [ ... ]
I have not yet been burned too badly by them, but planning to get out - I know others with similar stories as posted.
I have a question for you though, maybe you want to share with your other guests? When I ditch them, who should I turn to? I can’t afford to pay much, but I like having multiple domains hosted, asp.net, coldfusion (ok, I could live without that), and… [ ... ]
I noticed on another site someone suggesting that Gisol may sell your email addresses to spammers. I know email addresses can be picked up by spambots if you leave it on websites, but I am very careful not to do so. I started to get a few spam messages on my main website email address and on my personal email address, shortly after signing up with Gisol. Now, after cancelling… [ ... ]
From posts on here and other sites it looks like American Express (AMEX) has refused to deal with Gisol any more. This must be to do with the amount of chargebacks they are getting. It can only be a matter of time before Visa International and Mastercard do the same. If they take away their rights to take credit card payments, it will effectively shut them down as they will… [ ... ]
I post this on other web sites: hope you don’t mind:
my complain to Gisol:
I have purchased a ‘pro’ windows server plan yesterday (My web site developer said they don’t make Linux websites) so I paid $119.40 for the NEW
plan and was waiting for sales person to call and confirm my order.(new account ID khush1)
Guess what the person who called me was VERY rude as if they don’t care for customers… [ ... ]
As of March 11th, on Google we are now:
#26 on a search for “Global Internet Solutions”,
#14 for “Gisol”,
#9 for “Gisol.com”,
#3 for “Gisol Fraud”,
#3 for “Gisol Scam” and
#1 for “Gisol Victim”
We’re getting there. Hopefully if unsuspecting people actually do a search for any of these then this website, along with many others, will help to stop them signing up.
We still need more posts though. We’re getting more and more hits… [ ... ]
Hi, me and my Girly are cracking up - I just called gisol, a woman answered ‘hello’, I soon spoke to ‘Brian’ asking to clarify my return-post-with-signature-requested form and the rebate for $1755 he offered, but he got flumoxed and said ‘please hold’ before disconnecting my call.
I called right back and ‘Brian’ answered in a fake Russian accent. I told him not to be so ridiculous and… [ ... ]
I’m currently trying to spread the word about this new anti-gisol site. It’s taking some time, but I’m getting it out there. The more links from other websites I’ve got, hopefully search engines will pick it up quicker and rank it higher. Google has already picked up the homepage, which is pretty amazing as we’ve only been up and running for about 48 hours. A google for “gisol fraud” reveals… [ ... ]
On 10/12/07 I orderd a web hosting package from them for 7.95 per month. 95.40 per year what they charged my debit card was $1078.24. After serveral attempts at contacting them about this in an attempt to get the charges adjusted to no avail. I turned the matter over to my banks fraud dept. They issued a chargeback for the amount. GISOL didputed it with a… [ ... ]
